I have always been a hat person. I discovered my “inner hatter” when I took my first felting class over ten years ago. I have been making hats of all types ever since.
My goal is to provide my customers with the high quality hat that he or she envisions. I have observed that people know what kind of hat they want, if they could just find it. I work with the customer to “actualize” his or her own “hat vision”. In other words: Karen H. Hats is about heads looking for hats, not hats looking for heads.
Karen H. Hats works with customers to produce their custom designed hat. The hat could be blocked and finished from commercially available materials such as fur felt, wool felt, or straw for summer hats.
Hats can also be custom dyed and felted from a range of fibers. |
| Pricing |
Hats made from commercially available hoods (unformed hats) start at $100.00, plus the cost of the materials, tax, shipping and handling.
The price of a hand-felted hat varies, depending on the type of hat ordered.
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required for work to begin. |
| Sizing |
Simply cut out a strip of paper that will fit around your head.
Wrap the strip around your head where and as snugly as you want your hat to fit. Tape the two ends together and return to me.
I will adjust your hat to fit this size. |
